I have never liked Natalie Portman. I found her to be much like Scarlett Johanson, a stunning face, but not a lot of talent to merit to some of the films she lands.

However in The Black Swan, she gives a powerhouse performance of a ballet dancer completly losing her shit. Its Immense.

Darren Aranofski (Pi, The Wrestler, Requiem For A Dream) tells the story of prima ballerina (Portmans) struggle to encapsulate the Black Swan from the world wide ballet smash-hit Swan Lake.

Her innocent and presice persona is perfect for The White Swan, but as her ballet teacher trys to encourage her to lose her self more to play the duel role as The Black Swan, her life starts to fall apart.

Theres Oscar buzz around this already. I wouldnt be suprised if it nabs best picture.
